Abstract:
The environment temperature affects greatly the mechanical properties of tread material, which directly affect the grounding performance of tire. To obtain the compression mechanical property of tread material under different temperatures, quasi-static compression experiments were performed .Based on this, the stress-strain relationship under different temperature and strain rate were experimentally obtained, which can be used to reveal the effect of strain rate and temperature on the compression mechanical properties of tread. Mooney-Rivlin model were used to describe the mechanical behavior of tread under uniaxial compression loading. The results suggested that strain rate effect of tread was not obvious at lower strain rate and the rubber compression modulus decreased with the increase of temperature in the temperature range of 20-90℃.The fitting of Mooney - Rivlin constitutive model were very consistent with the experimental results ,which lay a theoretical foundation for the analysis of compression mechanical properties of tread under different temperature.
