Abstract: |
This paper studies the effect of the HMPIB molecular weight and ratio on the mechanical properties of IIR/HMPIB blend rubber. The results show that the HMPIB can reduce the Mooney viscosity, gradually reduce with the increase of the dosage of HMPIB. Under the same curing system, adding saturated HMPIB make the effective cross-linking density of the blend rubber decreased, but the breaking elongation and tear strength of the blend rubber has increased, and growth is proportional to the HMPIB dosage and molecular weight. High molecular weight HMPIB is good for tensile strength of the vulcanizate .Tensile stress set out a downward trend with the amount of HMPIB. With the similar cross-linking density level, IIR/HMPIB has a greater tensile strength, tear strength and elongation at break than IIR. HMPB can enhance IIR. |
