Abstract: |
Graphene oxide /Silica/ styrene butadiene rubber (GO/Silica/SBR) nanocomposites were prepared by emulsion blending combined with mechanical shearing. The overall properties of the nanocomposites were studied. The results shows that two fillers in the rubber matrix were dispersed in nano-scale,and silica particles filled the gap of the GO sheets. The addition of graphene oxide prolonged the curing time of compounds and changed the crosslinking density of the composites. GO substituting for the same level of silica can increase the effective volume fraction of filler in the rubber matrix and improve mechanical properties and the dynamic mechanical properties of the composites. The wear resistance of the composites were significantly improved. Furthermore, the loss factor at 60 ℃ of the composites filled by the graphene oxide and silica decreased compared with that filled only by silica and rolling resistance can be further reduced. The loss factor at 0 ℃ showed a decreasing trend which had a bad effect on wet skid resistance. |
