Abstract:
      The structure and properties of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber (SSBR) 2557A were investigated,and the rolling resistance and wet skid resistance of tread compound of tires with SSBR2557A were analyzed and compared with emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber(ESBR) 1712E.The results showed that,compared with ESBR1712E,SSBR2557A possessed higher vinyl content,larger number-average and weight-average relative molecular weight,narrower relative molecular weight distribution,SSBR2557A compound possessed longer scorch time and slower curing rate,and SSBR2557A vulcanizate possessed slightly higher Shore A hardness and modulus,lower elongation at break,lower compression heat build-up,lower compression set,and similar properties in other physical properties.Under the condition of different strain,the shearing modulus,shearing loss modulus and loss index(tanδ) of SSBR2557A vulcanizate were samller.SSBR2557A vulcanizate possessed higher tanδ at 0 ℃ and lower tanδ at 60 ℃.The tread compound with SSBR2557A achieved better balance between wet skid resistance and rolling resistance.
