Abstract:
      The dynamic contact force of TBR tire during passing the road with pothole obstacle was derived by using linear oscillator with single degree of freedom,the equations governing vibration of a vehicle moving along an uneven surface were transformed to uncoupled first order differential equations,and the solutions obtained were combined to give dependencies of the contact forces arised from passing the pothole obstacle on the vehicle speed and pothole dimensions.A 3D model for tire rolling on the road with pothole obstacle was established by Abaqus software,the tire rolling process was simulated by explicit finite element method,and the transient dynamic response of a rolling tire was analyzed.The results showed that the vehicle speed and pothole dimensions affected the transient dynamic response of a rolling tire significantly.
