Abstract: |
The waste short cotton fibers(SCF) were pretreated with a multi-functional fluorinated silicone compound containing ether bond and hydroxyl group(processing aid M) and a fatty acid sulfonate multi-component mixture(disperser FJ) respectively, and the effects of pretreated SCF on the curing behavior and physical properties of SCF/EPDM composites were investigated. The results showed that the dispersion of SCF in EPDM was improved by adding proper amount of processing aid M or disperser FJ,but this had little effect on the curing behavior;the tear strength and elongation at break of the composites were increased by adding processing aid M through improvement of the boundary adhesion. |
