Abstract: |
The influence of the in-situ synthesized sodium methacrylate on the properties of NBR/EPDM blend mixed by different mixing processes was investigated. The results showed that the Shore A hardness, modulus and tear strength of the vulcanizate increased as the theoretical yield of NaMAA increased;the best tensile strength was 31.8 MPa when theoretical yield of NaMAA was 40 phr.The mixing property and physical properties of the blend with direct mixing process were better as compared with those of the blend with EPDM masterbatch technique. |
