Abstract:
      The allophane was purified and dispersed in water,and then an allophane/SBR nanocomposite was prepared by latex compounding method,and its properties were investigated.It was found by ESEM and TEM that the original allophane existed in aggregates of hollow spherical particles with average size of about 13 nm,the size of aggregates was about 200 nm,and the dispersion of allophane in the nanocomposite was good.The modulus of nanocomposite prepared by latex compounding method was lower,but the tensile strength was higher,compared with those of composite prepared by direct compounding method.
