Abstract:
      Fibrillar silicate(FS)/HNBR composites were prepared by mechanical blending of in situ modified FS and HNBR.The effects of the drying of FS,the types and addition levels of modifier on the physical properties of the composites were investigated.The test results showed that the modified FS were well distributed in HNBR,the composites showed similar stress-strain characteristics as that of conventional short fiber filled rubber composites and exhibited distinct anisotropic character;the modulus at 100% elongation,tensile strength and compression modulus of the composites increased significantly by adding FS;the best comprehensive physical properties of the composites were obtained by adding 4~6 phr coupling agent KH-570;by using dried FS,the composites could have better tensile strength,and retain good compression properties at high temperature.
