Abstract: |
The 2D nonline FEA model of tire was established by applying the ABAQUS software,and the orientations of crack propagation near the bead area of 11.00R20 TBR were analyzed by using the fracture mechanics method.When establishing the model,the nonlinearity and noncompressibility of rubber materials,the interleaving of the cracking surfaces when cracks suffered shearing,and the convergence of the singularity elements of crack tip were all taken into consideration.The crack orientations near the bead area were analyzed with the strain energy density of the crack tip elements.The results tallied with the real crack orientations of the bead area.The key factor to prevent the crack spread was decreasing rubber deformation of the carcass ply end by controlling the “drawing out” displacement of the steel cord of the carcass. |
