Abstract:
      The thermal properties of evaporation residue of emulsion asphalt modified by nano-silica/SBR composite were investigated by DSC.The results showed that the thermal stability and resistance to elevated temperatures of the emulsion asphalt were improved when modified by nano-silica or SBR;the optimal modified composite was SBR(mass fraction 0.03)/nano-silica(mass fraction 0.000 5).The mainly reasons for the properties improvement of asphalt were the reticular construction of nano-silica/SBR and the swelling of the SBR after oil absorption in the system.
