Abstract:
      The surface morphology of carbon black(CB)particle and the nanomechanics of its aggregate are introduced and the nanorupture behavior of polymer/CB composite is reviewed.The surface of primary particle of CB consists of randomly ranged fine graphite-like Crystals with Fullerene structure carbon,and shows rough atomic steps’morphology.The elastic deformation and plastic deformation are generated in the nanoparticle chain aggregates of carbon black by rapid stretching and slow stretching respectively.The tensile strength of a single nanoparticle chain aggregate of carbon black is (4.5±2.5) MP a,and its Yang’s modulus is 3.0~8.8 MPa.The interaction at the boundary between the nanoparticle chain aggregate of carbon black and the polymer is greater than that between the nanoparticle chain aggregates or polymers.Under the stess-strain,the yield deformation will occur in the IPN agglomerates of nanoparticle chain aggregates and rubber molecules simutaneously with the stress transmission.
