Abstract:
      The influence of the pretreating method on the dispersion of aramid pulp in rubber matrix and the properties of aramid pulp/HNBR composite was experimentally investigated.The results showed that the dispersion of aramid pulp in composite was improved by the pretreatment of aramid pulp;the modulus and tensile strength of composite increased when the aramid pulp was pretreated with silica,at the same time the elongation at break decreased and the physical properties at high temperature improved a little;the improvement was not remarkable as the aramid pulp was pretreated by coprecipitation method;as the proportion of silica-pretreated aramid pulp increased and the mixing time kept constant,the physical properties of composite increased,but the tear strength at high temperature decreased;the aramid was easily oriented in the aramid pulp/HNBR composite;and the extrudability of compound improved as the proportion of aramid pulp increased.
