| A clay/NBR nano-composite was prepared by blending co-flocculated clay suspension in water with NBR latex.It was found by TEM and X-ray diffraction that the clay possessed nano-dispersion structure orientated in plane and there were some laminal clay aggregates in the composite.The properties of clay/NBR nano-composite were investigated.The test results showed that as the proportion of clay increased，the ShoreA hardness，modulus at 100% elongation，modulus at 300% elongation，tensile strength and tensile permanent set of the composite increased and the elongation at break changed little；the aging property of clay/NBR composite was somewhat superior to that of silica/NBR compound；and the clay improved the air-tightness of composite，but showed little effect on the oxygen index of composite. |
