Abstract:
      A nonlinear axisymmetric finite element model was built to simulate position on rim,inflation and free rotation of radial tire.The nonlinearity and incompressibility of rubber material,the anisotropy of cord/rubber composite,the geometric nonlinearity of large deformation in tire,and the nonlinear boundary conditions in the contact areas between tire and rim or ground were taken into account in the model.The deformation and stress distribution of radial tire under inflation pressure and centrifugal force were obtained by FEA.And the calculated results agreeded very well with the experimental results.
