Abstract: |
The reinforcement of EVA by the sodium methacrylate prepared in situ from the neutral reaction of sodium hydroxide with MAA was investigated.The results showed that the better physical properties of EVA vulcanizate could be obtained when 100 phr of EVA,3 phr of DCP and sodium hydroxide/MAA with mole ratio of 1/1 resulting in theoretic yield for 30 phr of sodium mathacrylate were used;the better transparancy of EVA vulcanizate was obtained when the theoretic yield of sodium mathacrylate was up to 50 phr;and the ionic crosslinking density of EVA vulcanizate increased significantly as the theoretic yield of sodium mathacrylate increased. |
