Abstract: |
The microstructure and tensile failure mechanism of nylon short fibre/NR foam composite were investigated. The results showed that the untreated short fibre in the short fibre/NR foam composite tended to be the nucleus of micro-pores and many fibres hung in the pores;the stress concentration tended to occur at the place around untreated fibres resulting in the origination of flaw and the drawnout of short fibre during tensile failure;and the pretreated short fibre was bonded well to rubber matrix and could bear the applied stress to prevent the composite from the crack propagation during tensile. |
