Abstract: |
The properties of trans-1,4-polyisoprene (TPI)/high vinyl poly butadiene (HVBR) blends, especially the balance among rolling resistance, heat build-up and wet traction were investigated. The results showed that the wet traction of TPI improved greatly by blending with HVBR;tanδδ at 0 ℃ of TPI/HVBR with blending ratio of 60/40 increased nearly by three times when compared to that of TPI alone;and tanδat 0 ℃ increased by seven times when TPI/HVBR with blending ratio of 40/ 60 was used. The tanδ values at 60 and 80 ℃ of TPI/HVBR were lower than those of TPI respectively, thus the balance among rolling resistance, heat build-up and wet traction were obtained. |
