Abstract: |
The effect of nano-silica/carbon black blend on the physical properties and abrasion patterns of SBR vulcanizate was investigated and a reinfo rcement model was proposed. The results showed that the reinforcing effect was improved by using nano-silica/carbon black blend;the maximum tensile strength and tear strength, and the optimum abrasion resistance were obtained with 6/24 blending ratio of nano-silica/carbon black;not only the higher bonding strength between filler particle and polymer molecule, but also the slippage of polymer molecule on filler particle surface were required for the improved reinforcing effect on the vulcanizate. |
