Abstract: |
PDEP(Prestressed and Dynamic Equilibrium Profile) concept for tire design has been developed.Acording to this coneept, the tire is designed using FEM on the basis of prestressed and dynamic equilibrium profile. The dynamic deformation of the tire is fully considered and the tyre profile in the mold is changed to apply the tension of the belt and beads and thus to reach the optimum dynamic equilibrium. The foot Print and pressure distribution at ground contaet area of tire under load are optimized to inerease the rolling radius at the same conditions and control the tension distribution in the belt. The performance and comfortable ride of tire at high speed can be improved when the tire profile is designed based on the PDEP coneept. |
