The main causes and improvement measures of appearance defects of truck and bus radial tire were studied.For the appearance defects of tire such as color difference，large rubber rim and rubber lack on sidewall，the reasons were analyzed from the aspects of tire industrial design，process parameters and equipment precision，and the corresponding improvement measures were put forward，which improved the first pass rate and appearance quality of finished tire，and reduced the defect rate of finished tire.
