      In radial tire, belt structure plays a role in reducing tire lateral deformation, and lateral deformation can have an important impact on tire cornering characteristics. Based on the simplified physical model, this paper analyzes the influence of belt structure on tire cornering stiffness from the contribution of bending and shearing, and designs different belt angles, widths and line types for test verification. The analysis and test results show that the belt angle has the greatest influence on the cornering characteristics, and the bigger the belt angle, the smaller the cornering stiffness and the less sensitive to load changes.Based on the simplified model,the effect of belt structure on tire cornering characteristics from the contribution of bending and shearing deformation was analyzed,and different angles,widths and steel cord types of belt were designed for test verification.The results showed that the belt angle had the greatest effect on the cornering characteristics,and the bigger the belt angle was,the smaller the cornering stiffness and the less sensitive to load changes were.
