The application of hardening filler 8180 in tread compound of truck and bus radial tire for mining was investigated.The results showed that，adding 1 phr hardening filler 8180 in the tread compound，the cutting resistance，the wear resistance and heat aging resistance of the compound were improved，and the heat build-up and rolling resistance were reduced.The process properties met the requirements of the field production，the durability of the finished tire was improved，and the service life was extended.
