| The market segments in China and the major failure modes of TBR tire were analyzed，and the benefits of new steel cord constructions were introduced.Currently the trucks were usually overloaded for long drive，and typical TBR tire failure modes were carcass burst，bead burst and zipper failure.These failures can be avoided partially by using new type steel cords，such as 3＋9＋15×0.225 ZZZ HT，0.22＋6＋12×0.20HT，3×0.24＋9×0.225CCHT and 0.25＋6×0.22＋12×0.20HT in carcass，4＋6×0.38/0.30HT Betru，3＋8×0.33ST Betru，4＋3×0.35HT and 0.365＋6×0.35HT Betru in belt，and 5×0.35/0.38HI in belt guard ply. |
