| A theoretic calculating method for the Poissonps ratio of steel cord has been provided and hence a calculating formula for the Poissonps ratio of 1×5×0.25 steel cord has been derived. It is found that the steel cord must be untwisted while it is st retched and an even force is applied to the individual filament s ,otherwise the cord st ructure would be changed ;the Poissonps ratio of steel cord isnpt a constant. |
