The effect of rim width on the tire indoor performance was studied by a combination of simulation and testing. The results showed that,With the increase of the rim width, the simulation analysis overall diameter of the tire decreased and the cross section width increases. The long axis length of the footprint decreased and the radial stiffness and lateral stiffness increased with the increase of the rim width in the simulation analysis, which consistent with the test results. There were differences between the simulated and tset results of the short length of the footprint, longitudinal stiffness, torsional stiffness and rolling resistance, and more verification was required.
