Yuanyi Yang, born in Zhejiang Province in 1949. Graduated from Refining Dept. of Daqing Petroleum Institute in 1976, and obtained Engineering Master Degree of Basic Organic Chemical in 1981. Made advanced study and collaborative research two times in German Karlsruhe University. Worked as a researcher for 12 years in Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry (BRICI), Chemical Industry Ministry (CIM); Since 1993, appointed successively as Deputy Director and Director of Technology Dept. of CIM, and Director of Development Planning Dept. of National Petroleum & Chemical Industry Bureau. Transferred to Sinopec Group in 1999, and be successively appointed as President of BRICI, Deputy Chief Engineer of Sinopec Group and concurrently Director of R&D Dept., and Consultant of Sinopec Group. Since April 2012, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC)

    Professional Field: Technology Development and Management of Petroleum Energy Sources, Petrochemical Materials and Petrochemicals. Obtained 5 times of National and Provincial & Ministerial Grades Award for Science and Technology Progress. Published more than 30 professional papers, and be granted more than 30 patents. Ph.D. Supervisor. Part-time Professor of Zhejiang University.
