The thermal/oxygen/stress coupled aging properties of nitrile rubber(NBR) sealing material were investigated. The results indicated that the mass loss rate of NBR sealing material under the combined effects of thermal/oxygen/stress was a comprehensive reflection of physical and chemical reactions such as additive volatilization, rubber chain scission aging, and thermal-oxidative aging. The crosslinking reaction and degradation reaction existed in a competitive state, with external factors exerting varying degrees of influence on the chain scission degradation reaction and crosslinking reaction of rubber materials. The compression set showed an initial rapid growth and subsequent slow growth trend with prolonged aging time.NBR sealing materials were more prone to aging under the combined effects of thermal/oxygen/stress,so it was advisable to avoid the simultaneous occurrence of these three aging conditions during storage and use to prolong the service life of rubber products.
