WSP/SBR composite with wet-skid resistance was prepared by using WSP(walnut shell) and SBR. The effects of content and particle size of WSP and Si69 on the properties of WSP/SBR composite, such as curing behavior, physical properties and dynamic properties were investigated. The results showed that Addition of non-modified WSP has little effect on the scorch time (t10) and optimum cure time (t90) of SBR/WSP compounds, but could reduced the ΔM. The t10 and t90 of SBR/WSP compounds filled with silane coupling agent Si69 were prolonged and the ΔM increased. The tensile strength and abrasion resistance of WS/SBR composite were decreased with addition of non-modified WSP, but tear strength, elongation at break and hardness were increased. Decreasing the non-modified WSP particle size reduced the heat buildup but decreased the elongation at break and hardness. When the mesh of WSP was 300, WS/SBR composite got the optimal tensile strength. Addition of Si69 can improve the tensile strength and abrasion resistance, and reduce the heat buildup of SBR vulcanizate. The Storage modulus of SBR compounds were decreased with addition of WSP. Payne effect SBR/WSP compounds were enhanced with decreasing the non-modified WSP particle size, but modified with Si69 can Weakened it to some extent. The rolling resistance of WSP/SBR composite was increased a little with addition 300 mesh of WSP, but the wet-skid resistance could be improved, especially by modifying with Si69 can improve and balance these performance of SBR/WSP composite effectively. |
